Field Hockey, Girls Gr. 5-6 - Field Hockey, Grades 5-6
Welcome to the Farmington Valley Field Hockey League for girls entering Grades 5-6 in Fall 2025!The Farmington Valley Field Hockey League is comprised of teams from Avon, Canton, Farmington, Granby, Harwinton, Simsbury, and Wethersfield. The program includes one practice and one game per week. This is a recreational league that requires travel to away games. Each player is responsible for their own field hockey stick, cleats, mouth guard, shin guards, and eye protection (optional). A reversible game jersey will be provided.Games will be played in two 30-minute halves on half of the field, sideline to sideline, 8 v 8 with no goalies. Cones are used for goals.Game Dates: Sundays, September 7 - October 19 (No games 10/12; Weather make-up date 10/26)Game Times: 2:30 PMHome Game Location: Farmington High SchoolPractice Schedule (subject to change): TBD; Expected to begin late AugustLIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE!Specific requests for team placement and/or practice schedules are not accepted.All program schedules and locations are subject to change.Policies & General Information
