Have you always wanted to run a 5K or needed a push to commit to a local race? Has it been a while since your last race? If so, THIS IS YOUR MOMENT!
Imagine the thrill as you cross the finish line of a 5K on a beautiful fall day!
Run with a like-minded group, share successes, tips, challenges, and more while achieving a personal fitness goal.
In this program, you will be coached toward a 5K within a supportive group setting! Each session will include dynamic warm-ups, a run that will break up by pace, and strength exercises that prevent injuries and improve one's total body and running-specific strength. This is also a fabulous opportunity to get answers to your running, fitness, training, and racing-related questions! This program is coached by an Ironman World Championship Qualifier and top-level runner who has coached running for 21 years.
Race registration is optional and is not included in the program fee.
The program will meet at the New Britain Avenue/Oakridge Parking Lot. Participants will be notified of inclement weather cancellations via email. Cancellations due to inclement weather may be made up on a separate day/time.
