Farmington Recreation's 2026 Spring Soccer Program is slated to begin on Saturday, April 18 and conclude on June 13 (weather permitting).

Our program is for Farmington residents only. Grandfathered non-residents (those that played in Spring 2025 or Fall 2025) may Email recreation@farmington-ct.org to Register; a $25.00 Surcharge Shall Apply)

1) All Travel Soccer players that have accepted their offer from the Farmington Soccer Club must also be registered for Travel Soccer with the Farmington Recreation Department.

2) Only those selected to play Travel Soccer may be registered for Travel Soccer. 

3) Travel Soccer is an annual commitment, the fee charged is an annual fee and covers the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 seasons. New players, those that joined after the Fall 2025, may contact Farmington Recreation via email (recreation@farmington-ct.org) to register for the Spring 2026.

Registrations are accepted on a first come, first served basis. If the program is listed as full or 0 seat(s) available, please register for the wait list as we analyze our registration numbers daily.

Jr. SOCCER, Age 4 & 5 (Not in Kindergarten as of Fall 2025)
Farmington Recreation's Jr. Soccer Program (U5) is an introduction to the game of soccer provided by Soccer Shots. Clinic-like sessions will focus on the development of basic skills (dribbling, shooting, etc.) and the team concept.

Farmington Recreation's instructional program, provided by Soccer Shots, places players in an environment that will focus on individual skills, fitness, and sportsmanship all the while providing an opportunity for participants to be challenged through fun games and team interaction. Reassurance and care from Soccer Shots coaches allows every player to gain a better understanding of the game of soccer.

*Participants will be introduced to competition in a developmentally appropriate manner.

**Players will be provided with a Farmington Recreation Soccer Jersey and Professional Coaching.

***Players will need a size 3 soccer ball and cleats/shin-guards are suggested.

RECREATION SOCCER (Kindergarten - 8th Grade as of Fall 2025)

Recreation soccer (U6 - U14) practices, approximately one hour in length, will be held once per week (Monday - Friday) at various times and locations. Considering our coaches are volunteers and select their practice schedules based on their availability and our field availability.
*Specific requests for practice days and times will not be accepted.

Recreation soccer (U6 - U14) games, approximately one hour in length, will generally be scheduled on Saturdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Sunday games may be scheduled when necessary.
*Please note that this is a time range where games may be scheduled.

Recreation teams will be created based on several factors including but not limited to the player's home address and the number of registrations received. Players will be notified of their team assignments approximately one-two weeks prior to the start of the season. The season is set to start with game play on April 18; coaches will be notified when fields are open for practice.
*Specific requests for team placement will not be accepted.

RECREATION SOCCER VOLUNTEER COACHES:
This program, like all recreational sports leagues, relies on volunteer coaches to facilitate one practice and one game per week. Recreation Staff collaborate with volunteers to find a practice slot that works within their schedule. Volunteer coaches select their practice information as they are volunteering their time. Please consider volunteering your time to help ensure a fun, exciting experience for our youth players. If we find ourselves short of coaches, teams still need to be created, and some may be left without a coach. In these cases, the start of practices may be delayed until a parent/guardian volunteers to lead the team. If leagues end up with more coaches than needed, coaches will be paired up by Recreation Staff.

- U6: Kindergarten (Coed Program if minimum numbers are not attained.)

TRAVEL SOCCER, Born 2011 - 2017

Travel Soccer (U9 - U14/15) practices will be held twice per week at various times and locations. Specific requests for practice days and times will not be accepted.

**REFUNDS, MINUS A PROCESSING FEE OF THE HIGHER OF 10% OR $10.00, AND/OR CREDITS FOR SPORTS LEAGUES SUCH AS SOCCER MAY NOT BE GRANTED AFTER THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER (FEBRUARY 28, 2026) UNLESS FARMINGTON RECREATION CAN FIND A SUBSTITUTE PARTICIPANT.
