Therapy Dog Handler Class, administered by The Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs Inc., a licensed and fully insured non-profit organization.

This course is a part of Faithful Friends, a Connecticut chapter of Bright and Beautiful! The course will evaluate, train, and qualify Farmington residents and their well-behaved dogs as therapy dog teams. Participants would pay to be part of the program and they (and their dogs) would be insured under The Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs Inc. Once certified, trained community members and their trained dogs can conduct visits to Farmington Valley nursing homes, assisted living facilities, UCONN Hospital, Hartford Hospital, Farmington Libraries (and surrounding libraries), schools (where permitted), and any other facility that desires a therapy dog visit. These visits provide care for those who need it most!
