Activity Refund Policy


  • Refunds, minus a processing fee of the higher of 10% or $10.00 (except where indicated below) and/or account credits, for non-sports leagues/team sports activities are granted when requested up to one week prior to the start of the activity.
    • Refunds, minus a processing fee of the higher of 10% or $10.00 and/or account credits, for our REC Adventure Camp are not granted after the deadline to register unless Farmington Recreation can secure a substitute participant.
    • Refunds, minus a processing fee of the higher of 10% or $10.00 and/or account credits, for our REC Summer Camp and Summer Sports Camps/Clinics may be granted when requested up to two weeks prior to the start of the activity.
    • Refunds, minus a processing fee of the higher of 10% or $10.00 and/or account credits, for bus trips sponsored by Farmington Recreation are not granted unless trip minimums have been attained and Farmington Recreation can secure a substitute participant. Full refunds for trips cancelled by our contracted transportation provider will be provided.
  • Refunds, minus a processing fee of the higher of 10% or $10.00 (except where indicated below) and/or account credits, for sports leagues/team sports are not granted after the deadline to register unless Farmington Recreation can secure a substitute participant.
    • Refunds, minus a processing fee of the higher of 10% or $10.00 and/or account credits, for adult softball are not granted after the conclusion of the registration period unless Farmington Recreation can secure a substitute team.
  • Refunds, minus a processing fee of the higher of 10% or $10.00 and/or account credits, may be issued for illness or medical related emergencies when accompanied by a physician's note if requested prior to the start of the program.
  • Account Credits may be issued for illness or medical related emergencies when accompanied by a physician's note if requested after the start of the program.
  • All refunds will follow the Finance Department's bill paying schedule. There will be no cash refunds. Please allow two to four weeks to process a refund.
  • Participants of programs cancelled by Farmington Recreation will receive a full credit on their account of the paid amount. Full refunds are available for programs cancelled by Farmington Recreation upon request.
