REC Summer Camp


Farmington Recreation strives to provide a reliable, high quality, and safe summer camp experience for all! Our goal is to provide a positive environment for youth to build friendships and stay socially and physically active through organized games, activities, sports, field trips, special entertainment, arts & crafts, and more!

Our REC Summer Camp
designed for ages 5 – 10, offers youth a traditional day camp filled with active games, special events, field trips, art & crafts, team-building exercises and more!  During the summer your child will enjoy field trips to venues such as The Connecticut Science Center, Mini-Golf, Dave & Busters, Spare Time Bowling, Lake Compounce, and more!

Our REC Tween Campdesigned for ages 10 – 13, offers youth a traditional day camp filled with active games, special events, field trips, art & crafts, team-building exercises and more!  During the summer your child will enjoy field trips to venues such as Matterhorn Mini-Golf, Central Rock Climbing, Nomad’s Adventure Quest, Dave & Buster’s, the CT Science Center, Lake Compounce and more!

For those looking for a little bit more, our 
REC Adventure Camp for youth ages 12 and up offers a week filled with Recreation Extreme Challenges such as White Water Rafting. Kayaking with Black Hall Outfitters, Zip-Lining, Aerial Adventure Parks, Cliff Jumping, and more!

Beginning in 2020, Farmington Recreation absorbed our REC Tween Camp into our REC Summer Camp. Registrants in our REC Summer Camp, ages 5 - 13, will be separated by ages for age appropriate activities and field trips.

Our 
REC Camp staff is comprised of teachers, college students, and high school students.  All full-time/seasonal REC Summer Camp staff are First Aid and CPR Certified.

*Refunds, minus a processing fee of the higher of 10% or $10.00 per activity [except where indicated], and/or credits for REC Summer Camp may be granted when requested up to two-weeks prior to the start of the activity.
