Activity Cancellation - Weather

Activity cancellations and/or modifications due to inclement weather will be announced on CBS Channel 3 Eyewitness News First Alert and NBC Connecticut 30. When possible, Farmington Recreation may send text messages and/or email notifications.
When Farmington Public Schools cancel school for the day due to inclement weather, all Farmington Recreation sponsored programs that are held inside a public school shall also be cancelled.
When Farmington Public Schools release students early due to inclement weather, all Farmington Recreation sponsored programs that are held inside a public school shall also be cancelled.
Activity cancellations and/or modifications due to inclement weather for programs that do not take place in a public school shall be at the discretion of Farmington Recreation staff. Participants will be notified via email and/or text message.
Activity cancellations and/or modifications due to heat related inclement weather: Farmington Recreation may consult with local youth sports organizations such as but not limited to the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) and the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) as well as the Farmington Valley Health Department (if applicable).
