Basketball, Youth - Coed, Grade K&1 - S3 Farmington Recreation's 2025 - 2026 Recreation Basketball Program for youth residing in Farmington (or attend a Farmington Public School), in grades kindergarten through 8, is slated to begin game play on Saturday, December 6 and conclude on February 7 with no games expected on December 27 and January 3. Make up dates for games cancelled due to weather will be held on February 21 and 28. All program dates and information are subject to change based on facility availability.Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. If the program is listed as full or 0 seat(s) available, please register for the wait list as we analyze our registration numbers daily. All players, Recreation and Travel, are required to register below. Once Travel Basketball players have been determined via the tryout process, roster spots for the Recreation Program will be filled via the wait list, if necessary.RECREATION BASKETBALL VOLUNTEER COACHES:This program, like all recreational sports leagues, relies on volunteer coaches to facilitate one practice and one game per week. Recreation Staff collaborate with volunteers to find a practice slot that works within their schedule. Volunteer coaches select their practice information as they are volunteering their time. Please consider volunteering your time to help ensure a fun, exciting experience for our youth players. If we find ourselves short of coaches, teams still need to be created, and some may be left without a coach. In these cases, the start of practices may be delayed until a parent/guardian volunteers to lead the team. If leagues end up with more coaches than needed, coaches will be paired up by Recreation Staff.*If you are interested in volunteering as a Rec. Basketball Coach, please register as a Rec. Bball Volunteer below. In addition, please contact Kevin Riendeau, Recreation Coordinator at riendeauk@farmington-ct.org.RECREATION BASKETBALL: Grades K & 1 (Saturdays Only)Farmington Recreation's Jr. Basketball Program is an introduction to the game of basketball for those in kindergarten and grade 1.
